Summer Winery Concerts: A Season of Fun at Wineries

There’s something truly magical about the combination of live music, fine wine, and the great outdoors. As the weather warms and the days grow longer, wineries across the country, including the Veramar Vineyard in Virginia, are gearing up for a season of unforgettable summer winery concerts.

Winery concerts provide the perfect backdrop for unwinding after a long week, gathering with friends, or even a romantic date night under the stars. The ambiance of a vineyard—beautiful landscapes, rows upon rows of vines, and the serenity that comes with being away from city noise—creates a unique setting for enjoying live music.

At Veramar Vineyard, we believe that music, like wine, is best enjoyed in a relaxed setting. That’s why we’re thrilled to host a series of summer winery concerts, including an upcoming performance by the local band The Fly Birds on June 3, 2023, and our “Country Music Night Under the Stars” featuring the local band, Gary Jay and the FIRE on August, 12, 2023!

Coming to Veramar on June 3rd, The Fly Birds, known for their dynamic blend of original folk and old-time music, are a must-see. Their harmonious sound, combined with the stunning vineyard views, and of course, our fine wines, will create an experience like no other. Gates will open at 5 pm, giving you plenty of time to find the perfect spot on our lush, green lawn and to grab some grub from the food truck Franklin’s Smokin’ Barnyard or ice cream from Matties Frozen Custard. We recommend bringing a picnic blanket or lawn chairs for your comfort.

Coming to Veramar on August 12th is the local honky tonk show, Gary Jay & the FIRE. Put on your dancing shoes or cowboy boots for some toe-tapping certified organic country*grassroots music by Gary Jay & The FIRE. Gates will open at 7 pm and music will begin at 8 pm, giving you an opportunity to settle in a and grab some delicious food from the food truck Cousins Maine Lobster. We recommend bringing a picnic blanket or lawn chairs for your comfort.

As the sun sets, casting a warm, golden light over the vineyard, you’ll find yourself swaying to the music with a glass of our handcrafted wine in hand. Perhaps our Seyval Blanc with its crisp, fruity notes, or maybe our Rooster Red, a bold Bordeaux blend.

Our summer winery concerts also offer a fantastic opportunity to explore our wines. Feel free to ask our knowledgeable staff about the different varietals we offer, and they’ll be more than happy to recommend the perfect wine to enhance your concert experience.
